NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal)
A specialised tribunal with jurisdiction over company law and insolvency matters, including company disputes, mergers, and insolvency resolution.
The NCLT handles a wide range of corporate matters — oppression and mismanagement disputes among shareholders, approval of company mergers and restructuring, and insolvency proceedings — that were previously spread across different, less specialised forums.
Its orders can be appealed to the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, and from there, on questions of law, to the Supreme Court.
