Garnishee Order
A court order directing a third party who owes money to a judgment debtor (such as their bank or employer) to pay that money directly to the decree-holder instead.
This is one of the tools available during execution of a decree — rather than the judgment debtor voluntarily paying, the court can direct a third party holding the debtor's funds (like a bank) to pay the decree-holder directly out of that amount.
It is a practical way of recovering a judgment amount when the debtor doesn't comply voluntarily but has traceable funds held by someone else.
