Motor Accident Claim
A claim for compensation filed by a victim (or their legal heirs) for injury, death, or property damage arising from a motor vehicle accident.
Claims can be filed against the vehicle owner, driver, and/or the insurance company, before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, and compensation is assessed based on factors including the victim's age, income, nature of injury, and dependents.
In many cases, especially involving a valid insurance policy, the insurer ultimately bears the financial burden of paying the awarded compensation.
