Movable Property

Property that can be physically moved from one location to another, such as vehicles, jewellery, cash, and shares.

Movable property is generally transferred more easily than immovable property — often by simple delivery or endorsement — and different (usually simpler) legal formalities apply compared to land and buildings.

Succession certificates, for example, are specifically used to help legal heirs claim movable assets like bank deposits, distinct from the process used for immovable property inheritance.
