Incorporation of a Company
The legal process of registering a company with the Registrar of Companies, giving it a distinct legal identity separate from its owners.
Incorporation creates a separate legal entity that can own property, enter contracts, sue and be sued in its own name — distinct from its shareholders and directors, who generally aren't personally liable for the company's debts beyond their investment.
The process involves reserving a name, filing the MOA and AOA, and obtaining a certificate of incorporation, after which the company legally comes into existence.
