Marriage Counselling (Court-Mandated)
Sessions with a trained counsellor that courts often direct parties to attend before proceeding with a contested matrimonial case, aimed at exploring reconciliation.
Family Courts frequently refer couples to counselling early in a case, recognising that some disputes can be resolved or better understood with professional guidance, before the matter proceeds to a fully contested trial.
Counselling isn't mandatory for the case to proceed if reconciliation genuinely isn't possible, but courts value it as a first, less adversarial step.
