Right to Information (RTI)

Any citizen can file an RTI application with a public authority, which is generally required to respond within a specified time frame, and the law also mandates authorities to proactively publish certain categories of information without even being asked.

Exemptions exist for specific categories of sensitive information, such as matters affecting national security, though these exemptions are meant to be construed narrowly.
