Special Public Prosecutor (POCSO)
A prosecutor specifically appointed to conduct cases under the child sexual offences law, given the sensitive and specialised nature of such trials.
POCSO cases are conducted by prosecutors with specific training and sensitivity toward child victims, and the law requires the trial to be conducted, as far as possible, in a manner that doesn't expose the child to the accused or unnecessarily prolong their distress.
