Void Contract
An agreement that is not enforceable by law from the very outset, having no legal effect between the parties.
A contract can be void for various reasons — such as being based on an unlawful object, entered into by a person without legal capacity, or lacking free consent in a fundamental way — and neither party can enforce it against the other.
This is distinct from a "voidable" contract, which remains valid and enforceable unless and until the party entitled to do so chooses to avoid it.
