Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH)
Unwelcome sexually coloured behaviour at the workplace, which every organisation is legally required to prevent, prohibit, and redress through an Internal Committee.
The POSH law requires every workplace with a specified minimum number of employees to constitute an Internal Committee to receive and inquire into complaints of sexual harassment, and mandates a structured, time-bound inquiry process protecting the complainant's confidentiality.
Employers who fail to constitute a compliant Internal Committee, or fail to act on a complaint properly, can themselves face penalties under the law.
