Common Intention (Criminal Law)
A shared plan among two or more people to commit a criminal act together, which can make each of them liable for the offence as if they had done it alone.
Where several people act together in furtherance of a shared plan, each participant can be held liable for the entire offence committed in pursuit of that common intention, even if only one of them physically carried out the final act.
Proving common intention usually relies on the surrounding facts and conduct of the accused, since a prior explicit agreement is rarely directly provable.
