Joint Will
A single will document made jointly by two persons — commonly spouses — disposing of their combined or respective property.
While legally permissible, a joint will can raise complications, particularly around whether and how it can be revoked by one party alone, which is one reason many legal advisors recommend separate, individual wills even for spouses with fully aligned intentions.
Careful drafting is especially important in a joint will to clearly address what happens to each person's share of property.
