Khula
A form of divorce initiated by a Muslim wife, where she offers to give up some or all of her mehr in exchange for the husband's consent to end the marriage.
Khula is essentially a negotiated release from marriage at the wife's initiative, typically involving her foregoing part or all of her dower as consideration for the husband agreeing to the divorce.
Where the husband doesn't consent, a Muslim wife can instead pursue a judicial divorce (faskh) through the courts on grounds specifically recognised by law.
