Molestation
An act involving assault or use of criminal force against a woman intending to, or knowing it is likely to, outrage her modesty.
This offence covers physical acts of assault or use of criminal force against a woman, done with the intention of outraging her modesty, or with knowledge that such outrage is a likely consequence.
It is treated as a cognizable, non-bailable offence given the seriousness with which the law treats crimes against women's dignity and bodily autonomy.
