Registered Will vs Unregistered Will
The distinction between a will that has been formally registered with the sub-registrar and one that hasn't, both of which can be legally valid if properly executed.
Registration isn't compulsory for a will's validity, but a registered will carries additional evidentiary weight and is harder to challenge on grounds of tampering or forgery, since it is kept in official custody from the date of registration.
Many people choose to register their will specifically to reduce the likelihood of it being successfully disputed after their death.
