Robbery
Theft or extortion committed using force, or the threat of instant force or fear, against the victim.
Robbery essentially combines elements of theft or extortion with an added element of violence or immediate threat, making it a more serious offence than simple theft, given the direct danger posed to the victim during the act.
When robbery is committed by five or more persons together, it is elevated to the still more serious offence of dacoity.
