Tenant Eviction Notice
A formal notice given by a landlord to a tenant, stating the intention to terminate the tenancy and requiring the tenant to vacate by a specified date.
Most tenancy laws require landlords to give proper notice before initiating eviction proceedings, with the required notice period depending on the type of tenancy and the specific ground for eviction being relied upon.
A tenant who doesn't vacate despite a valid notice can be evicted only through the proper legal process, not through the landlord's unilateral action.
