Unlawful Assembly
An assembly of five or more persons with a common object that is one of several specifically recognised unlawful purposes, such as committing an offence by force.
Once an assembly of five or more people shares a common unlawful object, every member can be held liable for offences committed in pursuit of that common object, even if they didn't personally commit the specific act.
This wide liability reflects the law's concern with the heightened danger and difficulty of controlling group violence once it starts.
