Will (Testament)
A legal document in which a person states how their property should be distributed among beneficiaries after their death.
A will lets a person (the testator) decide the distribution of their assets on their own terms, rather than the default rules of succession applying, and can be changed or revoked any number of times during the testator's lifetime through a fresh will or codicil.
While registration of a will isn't compulsory under most circumstances, it does add a layer of authenticity and can reduce the chances of a later dispute over its validity.
