Voidable Marriage Time Limit
The limited time period within which a petition to annul a voidable marriage must generally be filed, after which the right to challenge it may be lost.
Certain grounds for annulling a voidable marriage — such as fraud or the wife's pregnancy by another person at the time of marriage — must be acted on within a specified time from when the aggrieved party discovers the relevant facts, reflecting the law's interest in eventual certainty.
Delay beyond the permitted period can result in losing the right to seek annulment on that particular ground, even if the underlying facts are genuine.
