Warranty Period
The time period during which a manufacturer or seller commits to repair, replace, or refund a product if it is found to be defective.
The warranty period, along with its specific terms and exclusions, is generally set out in the product documentation, and a defect arising within this period typically obligates the seller or manufacturer to honour the promised remedy without additional cost.
Some defects may still be actionable under general consumer protection principles even after a specific warranty period has technically expired, particularly if the defect reflects an inherent manufacturing flaw.
